Sample Bowl

Cook rice and dal together until very soft and mushy — essentially a plain khichdi. Mix in mashed pumpkin and carrot. Add ghee and warm water to achieve a soupy porridge texture.

Portion Notes

Feed in small portions 3 to 4 times daily. This is one of the easiest meals for Indian pet owners to prepare at home.

Important Reminder

Do not add any spices, salt, onion, garlic, or tempering (tadka). Dog khichdi must be completely plain. This is not nutritionally complete for long-term use — consult your vet.
